System memory, keyboard, CMOS battery, and speakers were all replaced. The 160GB HDD drive was replaced with a 256 GB SSD drive. The Intel Celeron M CPU 530 was upgraded to an Intel Core 2 Duo T7200. A fresh installation of MX-Linux has been installed for use as the system's operating system. Thermal medium was reapplied where necessary (PTM7950 and Upsiren Thermal Putty).
The laptop exhibits wear, scuff, and scratch marks typical from normal everyday use, but the laptop is otherwise fully intact with no major damage. The DVD player, all USB ports, ethernet jack, and Wi-Fi were all tested and appear to function normally. I did not test any other ports or components. Some stickers attached to the bottom were removed due to no longer being visible from years of wear or relevant. The laptop's battery appears to be functioning normally and was not replaced.
A charger will be included with the laptop.
I've upgraded this laptop to be about the best it can be. The DDR2 ram is removable though the motherboard's maximum memory it can handle is 2 GB as far as I'm aware. The CPU may or may not have upgrade options available but the T7200 should be as far as it can upgrade. The SSD storage can be upgraded.
